OUR STORY
Like so many great stories, ours starts with beer. Malters Advantage Owner and Founder Wayne Moore became involved in craft malting through his partnership in a craft brewery. The Malters Advantage equipment line sprouted out of his relationship with the brewery’s principal malt supplier who at the time of their initial meeting was operating a manual malting system. Moore would go on to collaborate with a US-based fabricator to create and launch the Malters Advantage line of custom malting equipment specifically designed, engineered, and built for modern craft malting operations.
Since 2015, Malters Advantage has provided best-in-class service to craft maltsters, developing custom designs to meet their evolving needs and fit a diversity of production spaces. THE TEAM
Wayne Moore, P.E.
Wayne is the owner and founder of Malters Advantage. As a licensed professional mechanical engineer, he brings over 35 years of manufacturing, production, and design engineering to this product line. Wayne hails from a line of Western Kansas farmers and brings this practical background into all the equipment designs. He also knows what an evil thing a grain scoop is!
Jacob Moore
Jacob joined the Malters Advantage team in the spring of 2022 as a draftsman and mechanical designer. With a background in bartending and independent game design, Jacob understands the importance of tailoring designs to each unique situation, as well as the importance and need to integrate systems seamlessly with existing and new infrastructure. He attended the Advanced Class in Craft Malt Production offered by the Craft Maltsters Guild in March 2023 to expand his understanding of malting and the needs of maltsters.
